The Local Policy Lab accelerates the adoption of effective solutions to pressing problems at the local governmental level.
Local governments, and their policymakers, are well positioned to drive significant improvements in the lives of their constituents. However, these city, county and tribal governments often lack the resources to access and implement innovative policy and programmatic approaches. Mayors, councilmembers, and other local policymakers are routinely overstretched and without key tools to enact measures that deliver real change.
The Local Policy Lab (LPL) supports local governments in effectively engaging residents, especially those who are underrepresented, to strengthen democracy and address climate change. We envision a just, equitable society where local governments partner with their residents to make transformational change.
